In concert with this topic, an INTERNATIONAL effort
exists to bring awareness to a particularly
dangerous "mental / emotional" form of child abuse
known as Parental
Alienation.
 Apr 25th is known as PAAD -
Parental Alienation Awareness Day, in many
US states and around the world. Right now our own
CO Governor Ritter is considering issuing
Proclamation for 2008.

| Creative Uses of VoIP |
A WEB Widget (CALL-ME button) can be used for
after-hours Get Help calls. A company web
site owner can program this button to call ANY phone
they desire - even ring multiple phones at one time.
All without the caller having to dial or even know what
number was dialed - TRY IT !

Great for handling "rotating schedule" support or after-
hours mobile security. The button can be
programmed to ring a home phone, cell phone or any
contracted security personnel office. The number can
be changed at any time.

Dear Tom,
Some call them "widgets," some call
them "gadgets" but in the end, they're really the
same thing: small computer programs (applets)
that run on your PC desktop or on a web page.
Microsoft chose to introduce and include Gadgets as
part of their new VISTA operating system - however
WEB Widgets were around prior to that. While 100's
of widgets exist I'm only going to talk about one type
known as CLICK TO CALL..
The one shown below is called an online business
card - it enables friends, family or colleagues to
simply enter in their number to get a hold of you.
Click-to-call is very similar to the old days of dialing "0"
on a telephone and having a live operator assist you
by making the connection for a "person to person
collect" call. Benefits are:
- the person browsing the web page can be at any
phone
- their is no charge or cost to the person making the
call
- the phone number of the called party remains
private
- this can happen at any time of day from any
location

"I must call home.... and do it FREE from any
phone." is just one example of how this type of
function could be used. In this case, you could be
near any phone at all and make a NO COST call back
to your house or main office from a web page.
This WIDGET is currently only in alpha test mode by
the VONAGE / VoIP service company. It is being
designed for inclusion in email signatures as well as
web pages. The call is actually charged to your
Vonage VoIP account - but since you get unlimited
long distance
the call is effectively FREE. Widgets like this have
many types of applications, it's just a matter of using
one's imagination to identify the possibilities.
